Quentin Rollet/Jean-Marc Foussat/Christian Rollet - Entree Des Puys De Grele (CD Bisou/Fou Records)

Three improv pieces cascading around electronics, sax, clarinet, synth, voice and drums by these pedigree musicians whose combined history traverses many realms of the contemporary avant-garde. With such music, great alchemy between the players is absolutely imperitive and it’s perfectly clear these three have oodles of it as high-tension interplay is bolstered by a loose approach wonderfully deceptive during the quieter moments. Foussat’s deranged vocalisations and chants are a neat touch to a tumbling sound that never strays from an objective clearly as intuitive as it is spellbinding.  RJ
